Gray Whale with Harbor Seals
This is an original watercolor painting of a gray whale swimming in a bull kelp forest with playful harbor seals.
Trillium
This is your small watercolor of a trillium flower which appear in the temperate forests of Oregon in the early spring. I feel like forest fairies are nearby when I see a clump of these magical flowers. I enjoyed painting the rain water droplets.
Black-Crowned Night Heron

Orca Pod at Chiswell Islands, Alaska
In 2017 I worked as a deckhand for Kenai Fjords Tours in Seward, Alaska. We would take guests on all day boat tours into Kenai Fjords National Park. It was a magnificent job! we saw humpback whales everyday and orcas a few times per month. This is one of a series of small whale fluke studies that I painted that summer.
